At Ray of Joy Foundation, we are dedicated to ensuring that maximum underprivileged individuals have access to food.
We firmly believe that food is a fundamental right for everyone, regardless of their economic background or capacity. Unfortunately, it is disheartening to know that millions of people in the country go to bed hungry on many occasions.As part of our efforts, we have taken the initiative to provide ration to a village called Veehi. Situated near Kasara, a small town on the Mumbai-Nasik highway, Veehi is a small village with approximately 140 families. The village is so underdeveloped that it lacks even a proper approach road.During the lockdown, the people of this village survived by consuming wild plants and shared the same with their children. Fortunately, we have been able to raise sufficient funds to provide food for the entire village for an entire month. However, the challenge doesn't end there. There are several nearby villages, such as Bondarpada and Uthava, facing similar struggles. The entire region is in dire need of support.Our goal is to expand our project and reach a point where we can provide food for at least five villages every single month.
