Laxmi and Ramesh were very happy when they got to know after 12 years of struggle and patience finally they will be parents soon. But then suddenly their happiness turned into anxiety and sadness. Their life completely shattered when the baby got born premature.
Yes finally they become parents but the baby is premature, 17 days old female baby, admitted in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Rainbow Children's Hospital, Banjara Hills on 15.04.2024, IP.NO: IP5-00134331 & UHID: BAH-00582603 with extreme low birth weight 520grams. Baby were diagnosed as extreme preterm, extreme low birth weight, respiratory distress/ HMD, hypotension and suspected sepsis. Baby is being treated with mechanical ventilatory support, surfactant, inotropic support, IV fluids, IV antibiotics, IV Caffeine and incubator care. baby is on CPAP support. In view of extreme prematurity with extreme low birth weight and with above condition baby may require further NICU stay for 9-10 weeks and the approximate cost would be around 3 lakhs.
Ramesh is a normal farmer and his wife is also supports him in farming. This family is economically very poor. Somehow they are able to manage their daily basic food needs. So obviously arranging 3 lakhs for their baby is the biggest challenge for them.
They have been living in the hospital ever since their baby was born. sometimes sleeping on the floor, not eating for days. every day is filled with the fear of losing their child.
